Vineyards
The vineyards of Ville di Antanè are located in the heart of Valpantena, and extend for about 20 hectares surrounding the cellar. The territory has been ideally prepared for the planting of the vines through a significant work of terracing, with respect of the landscape and the territory. The traits of the area enable perfectly the cultivation of autochthonous vines, vital for the production of the famous wines of Valpolicella.
Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella grapes are cultivated here using the training systems Guyot and Pergola, and are harvested by hand: a care that enables you to keep the quality of grapes intact and guarantees a minimum of stress to the plants. Furthermore, it is according to tradition and done by local farmers who know the area.
The territory of Valpantena extends east of Verona and is part of the same wine district of Valpolicella, with which it borders directly. Like the latter, the Valpantena is a valley from the slopes facing east west. Its geomorphological features are unique in the Veneto region and have given rise to varieties capable of producing full-bodied, world famous wines such as Amarone, Ripasso and Valpolicella Superiore.
